About Janile
Janile Scott, CPPB, is an Acquisition Planning and Contract Compliance Specialist at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). In this role, she supports acquisition planning, demand forecasting, and contract management functions in alignment with WMATA’s procurement policies and procedures—ensuring transparency, accountability, and sound fiscal stewardship.
With over 20 years of experience in public procurement, Janile has developed extensive expertise across the procurement lifecycle, including solicitation development, evaluation processes, contract compliance, and award management. She is especially skilled in collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop strategic acquisition approaches that balance operational needs with regulatory requirements.
Janile holds both an Associate in Arts in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration. She is also a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards in public procurement.
A dedicated member of MPPA since 2012, Janile joined the association with a strong commitment to professional growth and collaboration. Through her involvement, she continues to connect with fellow procurement professionals, share best practices, and contribute to the advancement of the public purchasing profession.
